Today's classroom is a vibrant place, technically endowed with cassette and CD decks, video players, overhead projectors, etc. Course materials present the most up-to-date fruits of serious educational theory in textbooks that are as pleasing to the eye as they are stimulating to the mind and the tongue. Our script hopes to take its modest place among those works enabling students to advance their knowledge in a most profitable and enjoyable way. Our students have also changed greatly during the last decade. In the great majority they come to us with a solid background in the basic language, and more importantly with the pragmatic desire to make their way formard in a world where English, for better or worse, has become an indispensable tool.
